The Network Women Weaving the Future started out with the joint organization of two historic international women's conferences. 

The first conference, "Revolution in the Making", took place in October 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany. The speeches and discussions of the conference are compiled in a book that you can access and download here. 

In November 2022, “Our Revolution: Liberating Life,” the second two-day International Women’s Conference organized by the Network Women Weaving the Future was held in Berlin, Germany.

Each one of the conferences was attended by more than 500 estimated 700 individuals, mainly representatives of different struggles, movements, and organizations from different countries and territories.

Together, on panels and in workshops, they discussed topics ranging from patriarchal and state violence, war, forced migration, economic exploitation, health, education, language, fascism, neo-colonialism, ecocide, knowledge, art, culture, and self-defense.

The conferences were hosted particularly by the local Kurdish women's assemblies. Autonomous women's media organizations documented the historic encounters, while dozens of internationalist volunteer translators offered simultaneous interpretation in seven languages.

These events were very meaningful, giving us an impression of what is possible if we come together despite our differences, and join forces.
